Prize competition rules
How to enter
To enter the competition, you must take the following steps:
Complete the competition entry form on www.combocompetitions.com in full, including successful payment of the entrance fee; and submit that form.
Before entering, you should check that you meet the eligibility requirements and that none of the entry restrictions apply.
Entry
All entries to competitions are final and no refunds shall be made for any reason, except in the case where Combo Competitions cancels the competition.
Eligibility and entry restrictions
To be eligible to enter the competition you must:
Be a natural person;
Be at least 18 years old;
Not be our employee, officer or agent, or an employee, officer or agent of any person or organisation involved in the running of the competition, and you must not be a family relation of any such person;
Fees and team member restrictions
The fees are a follows:
Early registration fee: €60 + sales tax per participant/team
Standard registration fee: €70 + sales tax per participant/team
Late registration fee: €80 + sales tax per participant/team
A mandatory sales tax of 25% (the VAT rate in Sweden) will be added to all registration fees.
Each team can have a maximum of four team members.
Start and closing dates
The competition will open to entries at 00:01 on April 9th, 2020, and will close to entries at 23:59 on August 9th, 2020.
These dates and times are the relevant dates and times in Stockholm, Sweden (Central European Time, CET).
Judging
Entries shall be judged by 4 external jurors, who will be announced on www.combocompetitions.com no later than May 17th, 2020.
Entries shall be judged on the basis of the following criteria:
Concept;
Design;
Communication;
Implementation of Concept, Design, and Communication
The jury’s decision is final. Combo Competitions has no obligation to enter into correspondence about the jury’s decisions.
The jurors shall be independent.
If an entrant does not meet the eligibility requirements or is subject to any entry restrictions, that entrant shall not be entitled to be adjudged a winner, and will not be entitled to a prize in any circumstances.
Notification of winners
Prize winners will be notified by email not more than 6 weeks following the closing date of the competition, and will receive their prizes not more than 8 weeks following the closing date.
Announcement of results
The results of the competition will be announced on www.combocompetitions.com within 6 weeks following the closing date of the competition.
The announcement will include the first names, surnames and country of residence of prize winners.
Prizes
The prizes shall be as follows:
1st prize: €1,500 (one thousand two hundred Euros)
2nd prize: €1,000 (one thousand Euros)
3rd prize: €500 (five hundred Euros)
Copyright and moral rights
In this section of the rules: “materials” means the submitted entries; and “publications” means any existing or future media, including magazines, websites and books.
By entering the competition, you warrant and represent that you created the materials, that you own all of the copyright in the materials, and that our use of the materials in accordance with the license below will not infringe any person’s intellectual property rights or other legal rights.
You grant to us a non-exclusive world-wide royalty-free non-revocable license to:
Copy the materials;
Adapt, alter and edit the materials;
Publish the materials, and adapted, altered and edited versions of the materials, in any publication
Additional rights
Combo Competitions reserves the right to cancel or suspend any competition, as well as alter the rules at any stage if deemed necessary, or if circumstances arise outside of our control. Should a competition be cancelled, a full refund will be issued to all eligible participants.
Publicity
We may undertake publicity activities after prize awards.
We may publish and/or arrange for the publication of the first names, surnames, ages, countries of residence, occupation and prize details of prize winners in chosen publications.
